Our client, a major EPCM within the Mining Industry, is looking for a Project Director to work on an initial 12-month contract based in Perth.

You will be managing a complex project in excess of $1 billion, where the nature of the position is predominantly associated with developing and growing relationships with a major client. The Project Director will liaise with senior management personnel within client and contractor organisations to optimise the delivery of this flagship project within the Mining and Resources Sector.   

Day to day you will coach and mentor senior project management personnel in improving the project outcomes and champion continuous organization improvement.  You will also lead a dynamic and talented team and manage and develop key client relationships. 

ABOUT YOU

  • You will have extensive experience in delivering detailed engineering projects with major mining companies in Western Australia. 
  • You will be a collaborative and influential leader, who can effectively communicate to all management levels and manage client expectations. 
  • You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in the Resources sector, ideally 20+ years’ experience working in engineering design and construction, Senior Management and leadership experience including direct line supervision of managers in technical disciplines. 
  • You will also have a demonstrated business acumen.

Qualification
  • Diploma / higher technical qualification from a college / university in an engineering / science / technology subject but preferably in Structural Engineering or a minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in this position.

Experience
  • Minimum 10 years detailed design engineering of brownfield modifications to oil and gas  or similar facilities which must include offshore conversant with Shell DEP’s, international  codes and standards.

  • Exposure to document management systems is preferred.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 8 years in SAP, ideally with experience in Order To Cash and Project Control Implementation, roll out and production support.
  • Minimum 3 full life cycle implementation experience from Design to go live for SAP-SD module with preference for experience in Project Systems (PS) as well.

The Role:

MAIN FUNCTIONS
The Planning and Scheduling Lead (PL) is a specialist in project schedule development, control and forecasting. The PL assess Contractor and company generated schedules for usefulness, logic, level of detail, input sources, timing, lines of communication, and interfaces with other functional elements and consistency with Current Control Estimate, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and the Project Plan The PL also establishes the schedule requirements and frequencies of issue for all of the contractor schedule deliverables. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides overall project schedule, progress measurement, and change management leadership and expertise
  • Stewards the Contractor's project control organization with respect to schedule development, control and progress measurement
  • Advises the Contractor's organization with respect to adequacy of project controls tools, reports and schedules
  • Develop / Maintain Level 1 and Level 2 integrated project schedules

Upstream Thermal Operations currently has opportunities for Contract Plant Operators at our Edam and Vawn Thermal facilities. The successful candidates must reside within the area near the facilities. Turtleford to North Battleford range along highway 26.
 
 
The Facility Operation consists of water treating, high pressure steam generation, sour oil wells and oil treating facilities. Reporting to the Operations Senior Coordinator, the Plant Operator is responsible for ensuring it is run in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining the necessary production requirements.
 
Work schedule is comprised of a 12-hour shift rotating between days/nights including working weekends/stat holidays (7 on/7 off). You will be required to work in a wide variety of conditions due to the nature of the operation (working at heights, in confined spaces, with noise, in extreme weather conditions etc.)

Qualifications:
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Minimum 3rd Class Power Engineering certificate is required; however, candidates with 2nd class certification or progress towards 2nd class certification are preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the operation of steam generating equipment, control panel, oil processing and/or well equipment and associated process and systems.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset.
Experience in equipment isolation, safe work permitting and hazard analysis.
• Proficiency with computers is required (experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, SAP, and a field data capture system would be considered an asset).

Airswift has been tasked by one its major clients to look for a PSM Technical Analyst to work an initial 1-year contract in Ponca City, OK.


Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide technical support for PSM/RMP group.
  • Complete revalidations of the Process Safety Information (PSI) prior to each regulatory unit Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) per the OSHA/EPA regulations.
  • Provide backfill support for PSI evergreen of the Process Technology Package (PTP) data.
  • Maintain site Engineering Records to ensure accurate and consistent data management for refinery equipment information.
  • Complete the PSI revalidation process per PSM-1601, Process Technology Package Redevelopment procedure.
  • Review information presented in each PTP section and redline data that needs to be reconciled or updated.
  • Compare information in the PTP to P&IDs, PFDs, EDMS, SAP, PCMS, Piping Schedules, etc. as needed to validate equipment/relief valve information.
  • Utilize site resources as needed including: PTP section owners, evergreen drafters and electrical personnel, PSM/RMP team, controls/systems/SIS personnel, etc.
  • Lead meetings to review discrepancies and proposed updates with area personnel/section owners. Incorporate feedback into redevelopment documents.
  • Prepare and distribute reference PSI documents needed by the PHA team, including the redlined PSI from the redevelopment effort.
  • Provide backfill support for PSI evergreen that needs to be updated from completed MOCs.
  • Maintain consistent filing structure within the site Electronic Data Management System (EDMS).
  • Scan/upload equipment information into EDMS according to equipment and document type.


Qualifications:
 
  • Knowledgeable in refinery processes, equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Knowledgeable in Management of Change and Process Safety Information.
  • Able to understand and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, plot plans, mechanical equipment information, data sheets, process alarm and basic process controls information, and other equipment information as needed.
  • Able to understand industry codes/standards such as API, PSM, RMP, ASTM, ASME and the company’s Specifications and Standards.
  • Competent in software/programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, SAP, EDMS, PCMS, Bently Microstation, DOC4000, and PI Vision.

We’re looking for a Principal Electrical Designer to join our Perth team.
As a Principal Electrical Designer, you will be focusing on the primary purpose of this role is to drive and deliver safe and sustainable electrical design on a for various sustaining capital projects. Large component of the scopes will have brownfield elements; strong design capabilities on brownfield projects is key.
The successful candidate is expected to be able to lead and coordinate the design deliverables, coordinate work amongst the team, ensure technical integrity of the deliverables and conduct work in line with company procedures. Not all roles on the project will require the individual to work in a lead capacity however ability to quality check and sign off on deliverables on behalf of the discipline is necessary.
Proven discipline project lead experience on brownfield projects is highly preferred.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Principal Electrical Designer to join our team in Perth.
The role responsibilities include:
  • Deliver discipline specific design and drafting services that meet companu, the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. 
  • Perform discipline specific design and drafting services such as:  
  1. ensure the project scope is clear and that changes to scope comply with project change management process.
  2. prepare/assist and oversee the production of engineering drawings and documentation.
  3. ensure all drawings and documents are checked in accordance with Company checking procedures.
  4. work done is on time and within budget; and 
  5. participate in project reviews as required. 
  • Assist in scoping requirements and estimating design budget in response to requests for Lead Engineers.
  • Support the discipline in interviewing candidates for the project.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with the project Lead Engineers, other discipline design teams, Workshare team and Project Engineers/Managers on design progress, technical matters, workshare, and resource planning.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships within Company, with its clients and other. 
  • stakeholders. 
  • Identify issues and problems; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.
  • Interface with the instrumentation and control discipline to complete design scope.
  • Where working in the capacity of the project design lead: 
  1. Initiate, manage and supervise, design and drafting assignments with the home office and Workshare team.
  2. Ensure technical integrity of the discipline’s deliverables through the implementation of checking and design review activities.
  3. Provide technical direction, control and supervision for design on the project.
  4. Deliver the discipline’s design deliverables within schedule and budget.
  5. Manage quality and consistency within the discipline.
  6. Coordinate change control and technical query process within the discipline.
  7. Manage discipline resources assigned to the project.
  8. Report progress of discipline deliverables.
  9. Resolve discipline technical issues.
  10. Maintain discipline task and deliverables lists for the project.
  11. Coordinate design with other disciplines and squad checking deliverables.
  12. Motivate and manage the team’s performance, competency and develop staff within the group including the provision of on-the-job training.
What you’ll have
  • A recognised design qualification (Advanced Diploma) in the relevant discipline or recognised Electrical trade qualification.
  • A decent relevant experience in designing and drafting with promising experience recently in resources (or closely allied) industry, BP preferred. 
  • Proven lead role experience managing designers on multiple brownfield resources projects.
Essential:
  • Experienced, competent user of AutoCAD, Microstation (2D & 3D).
  • Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite, PDF Exchange, Bluebeam.
  • Selection of electrical equipment (lighting & small power, control & wiring devices, enclosures).
  • Proven experience in designing electrical deliverables such as:
  1. Single line diagrams – HV and LV
  2. Three-line Diagrams
  3. Schematics for panels such as incomers, feeders, VSDs and motor starters.
  4. Cable schedules.
  5. Material takes offs / BoM.
  6. Electrical equipment layouts.
  7. Switchroom layouts.
  8. Earthing layouts.
  9. Earthing diagrams.
  10. Key interlocking diagrams.
  11. Primary and secondary schematics.
  12. Termination diagrams.
  13. Panel general arrangements.
  14. Lighting and Small Power layouts.
Preferred:
  • AVEVA 3D modelling packages, (PDMS, E3D).
  • Hazard area layouts.
