Our operator oil & gas client (Woodside) is seeking a Turnaround Materials Coordinator to be working in their Perth city office on an initial 12 months contract. Details as follows:

About the Role:

Being a Turnaround Materials Coordinator you will ensure materials are supplied in accordance with the materials processes and as per the network strategy to and from Logistics' customersto enable them to carry out their planned and emergent activities.The position requires liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure materials requirements are met while ensuring safe, optimal and efficient logistics services are delivered.

* At time of Turnarounds the successful candidate will need to be able to go to Onshore and Offshore sites for short periods (1-2 weeks at a time a couple of times a year)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing strong collaborative relationships with customers to understand material requirements
  • Carry out demand planning and tracking in conjunction with stakeholders, allowing effective activity planning and budget forecasts
  • Work with Contracting and Procurement for delivery of the right materials from suppliers in accordance with required delivery dates.
  • Act as the main materials Focal point for all Internal / External stakeholders.Support all Material Returns in accordance with the Materials Returns Procedure and Reverse Logistics.
  • Support Procurement in monitoring vendor held materials against future demand.
  • Support slow moving inventory and obsolete inventory reduction programmes.
  • Assist in the resolution of any Audit (both Internal and External) queries.

Skills & Experience:

  • Having knowledge of Warehousing & Distribution
  • Sound understanding Contracting and Procurement processes
  • Ideally you would have experience with ERP software such as SAP
  • Prior experience in dealing with Materials and Equipment, managed through air, land and sea logistics networks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Excellent analytical / problem solving and decision making skills
  • Proven ability to work in pressure situations
