We recruit technical specialists and managers for demanding national and international projects of our technologically leading customers.On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Verification Engineer, located in our client's office in either The Netherlands, Germany or Denmark.
You'll be the subject matter expert for the definition, implementation, and coordination of a risk-based written scheme of verification for several projects. You'll be part of creating a strong Process Safety Management culture in the organisation by taking a proactive lead engaging with internal and external stakeholders. You'll be one of the main drivers for setting up coordination and monitoring of progress on assurance activities for key projects in relation to third-party verification within projects portfolio.
You'll be part of our Process Safety Management team where you, together with your colleagues, will play an important role in ensuring the continued buildout of the renewable hydrogen business in the organisation. You'll work in close cooperation with process safety specialists, project managers, and technical project managers to incorporate third-party verification in several projects, from early design phase to hand-over to operations. Few days look the same in our department and you can be involved in meetings with customers or suppliers or creating governance for review letters. You'll play an important role in:
- acting as project focal point, responsible for third-party verification and be a subject-matter expert within the field.
- developing a proactive culture of monitoring assurance activities within each project
- leading by example, supporting and driving third-party verification regime
- ensuring that design basis and technical review of design is an inherent part of projects and that related objectives are fulfilled.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a professional background within production or engineering of oil and gas, chemical process, or electrolyser facilities, incl. solid experience with Technical Safety Engineering
- are an expert within design verification and written scheme of verification
- have experience in working across, or supporting, multiple major projects and organisations
- have excellent stakeholder management skills, working with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
- have excellent communication skills and can speak, present, and write English fluently
- contain a great deal of perseverance.
