Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for Structural Engineers on behalf of Worley for 12 month contracts

Purpose

You will provide structural engineering services to Worley, and its Customers and may provide technical support and supervision within the structural team.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical engineering deliverables that meet its customers' and applicable statutory andregulatory specifications, on time and within budget

Responsible for supporting the lead structural engineer in the technical delivery of structural relatedelements relating to various project including design of material handling structures, undergroundconcrete works, onshore LNG structural steelwork as well as general non-processing infrastructurestructures.

Perform tasks such as:

1. participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;2. clarification of project scope and identify changes to the lead structural engineer as per project changemanagement processes;3. Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, etc.Support technical development of solutions, recommendations and creates final documentation forproject deliverables. 4. Participates in bid clarifications, conducts bid evaluations, completes inter-discipline vendor information review and approval, and finalizes other certification activities.

If required, supervise structural drafting to deliver project requirements under direction of a lead structuralengineer.

Where opportunities arise, support the lead structural engineer on specific projects where theresponsibility include

1. Scope management2. Promotion of workshare between various offices3. Cross disciplinary coordination to ensure successful delivery of Customer's requirement

Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements.Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in structural engineering.Support effective communication with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders, includingthe customer.Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

Skills/Qualifications

Bachelor of Structural/Civil Engineering or relevant undergraduate degreeExperience in structural engineering design in the mining, energy and/or infrastructure sectorPrevious experience in mining is desirable but not essentialFamiliar with finite element program will be advantageous Familiar with software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD would be beneficialKeen attitude to learn new design tools as well modes project deliveryAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBe highly driven with a focus on delivery and service

Technical and Industry Experience

A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatoryrequirements.Exposure to developing civil design across a range of project cycles using Australian StandardsKnowledge of Rio Tinto or BHP standards & systems knowledge is preferable, but not critical.Agile with working in multiple platforms and environment including the use of 365 suite and various othercollaboration toolsCompetent use of structural engineering specific software such as Spacegass and StaadPro Worked in team with diverse background

Required:A recognized degree in the relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.

Preferred:Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status
