Specialist Engineer, Instrumentation

To maintain and improve the manufacturing facilities. To supervise the leadership of a team of Engineers, Specialist, Senior Supervisors, Inspection Supervisors, Inspection Leaders, Inspection Coordinators, QC Inspectors, PM Administrators, Material Controller and Programmers in order to provide engineering support to operations, in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the technical support management of all maintenance & projects & improvement-related activities in an assigned section or field to ensure minimal downtime in operations by liaising with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Materials Control & Supply, Contractors and Safety department as appropriate.
2. Review and consolidate and/or approval technical documentation and evaluation and oversee the undertaking of regular audits of Engineering support jobs to ensure compliance with international Engineering standards.
3. Review and consolidate engineering procedures and once approved, supervise the implementation of same procedures within plant equipment operation limits to prevent miss-operations and human errors in daily plant operations.
4. Implement cost saving activities as per Section’s cost saving plan.
5. Ensure assigned Section’s engineering tasks meet corporate safety and environmental policy and standards in order to minimize risk of industrial injuries.
6. Conduct performance reviews of subordinates and liaise with Human Resources to conduct staff development program and training needs to further enhance individual potential and contribution to the overall company’s performance.
7. Keep the manufacturing facilities in a safe and good condition.
8. Improve the manufacturing facilities for more safety and competitive plants.

Qualifications & Education:
§ A relevant first degree in engineering or relevant science major from reputable universities.
§ More than 15 years technical experience in engineering in refinery or petrochemical, preferably with at least 4 years in technical supervisory position.
§ Demonstrated specialty and expertise and records on related field of work.
§ Knowledge of process & operations, maintenance & engineering practices in refinery or petrochemical plants.
§ Hands on experience on related field with technical expert level knowledge.
§ Capable to guide and train Engineers in related field and act as technical commander during emergency conditions.
§ Results orientation and lead by sample.
§ Demonstrated Problem solving skills.

§ Team leadership.
§ Capability of withstand pressure with determination for success.
