We are looking for an accomplished Project Manager to manage this client’s

responsibilities through project development and execution of its first facility in the USGC.

This client has engaged the services of an EPCM company contractor for the USGC facility. The holder of this position will act in the role of Project Director liaising with the EPCM company

ensuring timely and efficient execution through project development and into construction,

commissioning and start-up.


A minimum of 20+ years process design and project management related experience in the Oil and Gas industry with an EPC/ EPCM and operating company is required. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain positive client and project team relationships. Good understanding of applicable industry codes and standard practices. Proficiency with the development of process documents such as Process Design Basis (PDBs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Line Designation Tables (LDTs). Effective verbal and written communication skills. Able to lead the development of Operating Manuals and reports. Facilitating and/or participating in process hazards analysis studies/sessions.


  • Project siting evaluations, including permitting and local authority interface
  • Manage the interface between the Owner and the EPC/EPCM team – single point of contact
  • Monitor, coordinate and report on EPCM team performance
  • Promote and facilitate project teamwork and communication
  • Manage the transition from design/construction to commissioning and operations
  • Maintain a strategic focus for the project with frequent interaction with the engineering contractors and the EPCM contractor
  • Prepare project charter, project execution plans, etc., clearly articulating Owner/Project Team responsibilities and obligations
  • Prepare and manage the Owner’s project Risk Register
  • Prepare workplans, manage Owner resources assigned to the project
  • Manage EPC/EPCM team deliverables, communicating key milestones, responding and/or coordinating response to RFIs, issues and outcomes and assisting the COO with formal interactions with EPC/EPCM team
  • Monitor project schedules, work assignments, budgets, and manpower expenditures
  • Review, and circulate for Owner team comment the key project documents including P&IDs, Plot Plans, Operating Manuals, etc.3
  • Support the COO by providing leadership on project management strategies, planning, design, implementation and oversight of all work streams
  • Mentor and actively transfer knowledge to Owner project team members as part of the sustainability plan


Graduate of an accredited Chemical/Process Engineering Degree program

Registered or eligible to be registered with APEGA or EGBC

PMP designation and asset

Software & Systems:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications. Working knowledge with HYSYS, AFT and Pipe-Flo software
