Senior Project Engineer (Permanent)

We recruit technical specialists and managers for demanding national and international projects of our technologically leading customers.

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer, located in our client's office in The Hague.

Responsibilities:

• Leading small to medium scale projects (TIC of EUR 10m to 100m) in the downstream refinery and chemical/petrochemical markets.
• Superior leadership skills in a complex multi-office environment with an ability to provide innovative solutions to customers is our objective
• FEED and EPC & EPCm experience are both desirable.
• To ensure the technical integrity of the project including compliance with the project scope, project specifications, accepted good engineering practices, our client and its customers' work processes, project schedule and overall budget.
• Coordinating and scheduling all phases of engineering, and for the technical specifications necessary to acquire equipment/materials and services and the technical bid evaluations to procure equipment and services.
• On smaller projects, the Sr. Project Engineer will acts as a Project Manager as where on a larger project he/she will act as an Area Lead reporting to the Project Manager.
• Ensure milestones are being met and deliverables are issued in a timely manner and as per schedule.
• Understand the various activities that are performed in a project execution cycle.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in an Engineering field or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant project and discipline engineering experience
• Chemicals / Petrochemicals or Refinery experience
• Good spoken and written in English language
• Professional Engineering certification in related discipline preferred
• Strong in organizing and managing complex engineering activities, including usage of HVEC and Multiple Office Execution
• Working knowledge of project control systems and Cost estimating, including Change Management and Risk Management
• Excellent communication skills
