On behalf of our client we are currently recruiting for a Senior (Principal) Electrical Consultant to join our client, located in The Hague. This is a long-term opportunity.
The candidate will be a member of the team providing strategic and technical consulting services to the power and new energy industry and financial sectors. He or she will also support our customer's FEED projects as Subject Matter Experts on electrical related aspects.
The role provides opportunities to work together with experienced colleagues to deliver tailored bespoke services to suit adiverse set of clients, working to deliver services, participating in business development and to be a key member of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Execution of the following technical activities for renewable power and new energy systems:
- Conceptual design for renewable power generation and transmission systems (both AC and DC and both grid connected and off-grid applications)
- Conceptual design of electrical systems for green hydrogen and battery energy storage systems
- Grid stability studies
- Definition of Basis of Design and Technical Specification.
- High level Definition and specification of equipment/system components
- Delivery of consultancy services, such as Feasibility and Conceptual Studies, Financial Models.
- Support marketing and business development activities for consulting services.
- Develop towards a 'Subject Matter Expert' for the above fields of expertise across our client's organizatio
- Support the growth of the business.
Qualifications:
The candidate must demonstrate education and competency in the following:
- Educational background in electrical engineering (MSC or Bachelor)
- 5-15 years of experience as an electrical engineer/consultant, to work within our client's Power and New Energy practice
- Research/graduation subjects in:
- configuration, concept and feasibility studies for renewable power generation and transmission systems (both AC and DC and both grid connected and off-grid applications)
- Conceptual design of electrical systems for green hydrogen and battery energy storage systems
- Grid stability studies
- Software Skills:
- ETAP, Digsilent PowerFactory
- PSSE, PSCAD
- Python
- Good communication skills
- Eager to learn
- Strong self-starter and motivated to succeed
- Team player
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages (Netherlands, Spanish, French, Arabic, others) are a plus.
