Engineering Design Systems (EDS) Coordinator with strong expertise in AVEVA E3D/PDMS. Supporting all projects within our client’s East offices. The EDS Coordinator will be responsible for loading and configuring the engineering and design software, keeping the system running, and trouble-shooting problems. Duties will include software setup, database setup, integration with other tools. Configuring access control, and project level settings. This position will work with other team members, Engineering and Design Departments to provide operational and development support.
Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Designs System setup, administration and problem resolution, and the use of application technologies to deliver improvements and efficiencies to engineering design activities.

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to be placed in Meerssen, the Netherlands and would be on an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. The main function is to to work on small to medium size projects in the process industry. The PM/PE oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within specified deadlines and budgets. This role will be responsible for coordinating resources, managing stakeholders, and ensuring project objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project execution
  • Supervise team and facilitate/join customer meetings
  • Establishes the project framework for delivering engineering and design and provides cross-discipline coordination/supervision by directing project execution activities and discipline deliverable creation for one medium or several smaller projects. Accountable for the safe/sustainable engineering, quality, cost and schedule delivery of all work by the engineering team on the project
  • Strong understanding of cross-discipline work, interfaces, and sequencing. Well versed in project setup, instituting work processes, monitoring a team, execution, and close-out. Skilled in estimating project costs and writing proposal content. Adept at budgeting and cost control
  • Assume hands-on management and implementation of all relevant company HSE requirements
  • Ensure that no work is started without a signed contract or specific Operations Management approval

PREAMBLE
The purpose of this specification is to define the conditions for the performance of the services relating to the digital realization of P&IDs under Smart Plant P&ID (SPPID) to be carried out by the SERVICE PROVIDER


Purpose of the service
The SERVICE PROVIDER will carry out the following tasks:
  • Reporting to the head of the P&ID's Design & Management department, you will be responsible for carrying out CAD activities under Smart Plant P&ID plans such as Fluid Flow Plans (P&IDs) and Fluid Process Diagrams (PFDs) and Material Safety Diagrams (MSDs).
  • Your CAD drafter activity ultimately covers all the services necessary for optimal use of the data of the project to be processed.
You are the guarantor of the quality of the documents digitized under Smart Plant P&ID. After a period of integration/training within the Department, you will be in charge of ensuring:
  • The CAD digitization of the Department's documents submitted in the form of a Master's degree commented by the technical disciplines, using the Smart Plant P&ID software, and secondarily the AUTOCAD software.
 
  • The design of process, inter-unit, utility distribution PCFs as well as PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), MSDs (Material Safety Diagrams).
 
  • The final CAD review of disciplined or customer comments on all these types of documents after verification of CAD activities,
 
  • Verification of all your CAD activities before handing over to the CAD coordinator of the Department before official release,
 
  • Use your knowledge of the Smart Plant P&ID tool in relation to the associated Piping Catalog (piping classes).
 

REQUIRED SKILLS
The studies at the expense of the SERVICE PROVIDER require the following skills:
  • With a baccalaureate +2/3 ideally in chemical engineering, you have a first experience in a company in the Oil & Gas, Energy or nearby sector.
 
  • You have a command of technical English and a good knowledge of the AUTOCAD and Smart Plant P&ID digitization tools.
 
  • You have the ability to manage and synthesize constraints influencing detailed studies such as norms, implementation standards, study rules, symbols, deadlines.
  • An ability to work in interaction with all disciplines, to manage technical elements under his/her responsibility and to integrate new constraints as studies progress, to report to the manager, problems, whether they are of general interest or allowing to improve the performance of services.
  • An ability to present carefully clear, coherent, homogeneous documents that are listed according to the standards or rules applicable to the contract.
  • Control of assigned deadlines.

Insofar as your role is to develop the digitization of our relevant project documents under Smart Plant P&ID to meet the expectations of the disciplines and the project, you are enthusiastic, responsive, diplomatic and rigorous and speak English fluently.

What you’ll do

  • Reporting to the lead structural designer, you will part of talented team of structural engineers and designers to deliver of all structural related elements relating to onshore and mining facilities.
  • Perform checking role for 2D drawings that produced either from Microstation 3D, PDMS or other similar 3D modelling platform.
  • Producing 2D drawings using as required.
  • Support the coordination of workshare between various offices.
  • Cross disciplinary coordination to ensure successful delivery of Customer’s requirement.
  • Proactively resolve any discrepancies between our client and its Customer's requirements.
  • Support effective communication with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

What you’ll have

  • Awarded a 2 or 3 year technical diploma with discipline specific training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Extensive years of experience in structural design in the mining, energy and/or infrastructure sector.
  • Prior experience of working within medium to large projects within multidiscipline environment is essential.
  • Experience in Resource sector is essential.
  • Experience in working on complex 3D modelling environment using Aveva or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Be highly driven with a focus on delivery and service.
  • Worked in a project with a 3D modelling workflow. Extensive experience in performing detailed checking roles for major projects.
  • Sound knowledge of PDMS or similar 3D modelling software is essential. Prior experience in E3D is advantageous.
  • Experience in Microstation or Autocad is required.
  • Worked with team with diverse background.

• Define, develop, issue and maintain all necessary technical documentation related to the Suriname SPS packages. Support and participate also to the development and maintenance of Project Management main documents (SOR, FDP, PEP, PQP, Risks, etc.) for SPS matters.
• Ensure that HSE&Q issues are correctly handled in all SPS technical documentation. Raise subsequently comments, highlight deviations, unacceptable or unjustified design choices that could affect SPS equipment during fabrication, installation, production.
• Act, as technical referent vis-à-vis Contractor(s), coordinate all the activities of the SPS Engineering team by informing, supporting and directing personnel in their roles, responsibilities, and objectives.

Context & Environment:

The Suriname GPI is a multidisciplinary team that coordinates the development studies managed by the client on the Deep and Shallow Water discoveries of offshore Suriname Block 58.
The technical challenges the GPI / Project will face are the reservoirs development and management, the FPSO and subsea production/injection system definition.
The Suriname GPI / Project team will be developed with the objectives to maximize economical results by optimizing the reserves, the schedule, reducing the costs and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focus.

  • Become knowledgeable of our client’s Turnaround Procedures
  • Coordinate planning resources by turnaround specifications, cost estimates, schedules, safety requirements, quality requirements, various procedures, standards, practices, etc.
  • Work with the Scheduler and execution to provide general coordination and monitor the progress of turnaround activities per the job plans and worklists
  • Coordinate multi-craft job plans with other craft-specific planners
  • Update plans with any approved change orders and develop new plans that arise during the turnaround as requested by our client.
  • Communicate daily with execution supervision during various phases of the turnaround to understand the effectiveness of the plan Analyze and recommend resolutions of work problems and execution in solving work problems
  • Adjust plans with feedback from execution
  • Walk down Job Packages and verify with prints and drawings
  • Perform pre-start-up safety review
  • Create punch lists from pre-start-up safety reviews
  • Confirm with execution the progress of key turnaround milestones
  • Develop detailed milestone plans and submit them to the scheduler
  • Manage detailed line item worklist
  • Include job plans for resources to support operations shut down and start-up plans
  • Perform critical and near-critical path analysis
  • Work directly with the scheduler to finalize and optimize integrated event or turnaround schedule
  • Validate work steps and durations with team members and contractors
  • Participate in Integrated Event and turnaround reviews (IR/TRs) and reports per Turnaround Milestone Schedule
  • Prepare review documentation
  • Participate in planning and scheduling Peer Assists

Verify the following are completed:
  1. o Contractor execution of plan (work packages) o Bid Award contracts o Contractor selection and evaluation
  2. o Long lead and short-term materials are ordered
  3. o Open work orders for disciplines as required by plans o Maintain a logistics and security plan o Develop a site mobilization/preparation plan and demobilization plan, including removing surplus materials and temporary trailers
  4. o Conduct post-turnaround walkthrough
  5. o Incorporate of best practices and MEV technologies

Verify effective communications are maintained during various phases of turnaround including:
  1. Scope changes
  2. Field change orders o Budgets
  3. Critical Path
  4. Utilization of contractors
  5. Progressing and look-ahead schedules


 
  • Steward schedules and updates throughout the process
  • Prepare package tasking details to guide field crews to perform safe and efficient field repairs

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Previous experience in a closely related position

MAIN FUNCTIONS
Instrument Controls Coordinator should have a good understanding of safety, health, and environmental requirements (SSHE), provides subject matter expertise to maintenance teams. Subject matter expert for specific processes and procedures, technical matters, and equipment. Equipment types may include instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, ("I&C"). Demonstrates very strong maintenance skills for these equipment types. Able to provide support or guidance for complex trouble-shooting, may participate in constructability and maintenance design reviews and may assist engineering for routine maintenance as well as Turnaround, or new project support. Ability to influence without authority and interacts effectively with operation and maintenance organizations. Significant experience in electrical, instrumentation and controls installation activities with specific focus on confirming adherence to applicable codes, standards and design documents with regard to the oil and gas business segments.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks and Responsibilities, a Level 3:
• Assisting the contractors with clarification, interpretation, interference resolution and QA/QC related matters.
• Confirming equipment and materials arriving at site meet the engineering specifications and quantities
• Ensuring instructions, drawings and specifications for scope changes are issued in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environment Programs are implemented and adhered to at all times
• Updating the site-wide deficiency lists to be issued at weekly construction meetings
• Participating in the turnover process by assembling completion checklists and other engineering and construction records

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The Quality Advisor provides guidance and advice in regard to the effective management of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), delivering quality management and improvement support to all projects and Functions within the designated area of responsibility.

He/she provides support to the relevant Quality Manager and his/her team in the maintenance and control of processes, procedures, work methods and initiatives in support of the Company's overall Quality strategies.


GENERIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
  • Focal point for QA/QC matters, providing a support function to project management, ensuring that they have adequate resources and QA/QC input.
  • The Quality Advisor ensures the implementation/compliance and alignment of all quality programs, policies, processes, and procedures
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of risk-based audit process and responsible of audit execution (both internal and external).
  • Managing non-conformities, facilitate the root-cause analysis corrective actions (RCCA) process, and ensure effective implementation of solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Work in conjunction with Supply Chain Management, Engineering and Operation to assess, manage and develop suppliers’ quality aspects, ensuring that quality requirements are well defined and understood by suppliers.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Continuous Improvements of the Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination, preparation and delivery of Project Quality Plans and will provide support and input to tendering process as directed.
  • Provides support on the development and maintenance of Quality Management System within the Region/Business Unit and supports Project Manager and Quality Manager in the implementation of the Business Management Systems.
  • Assist and advise project personnel in all matters relating to the application and implementation of the company management system on projects, ensuring appropriate levels of quality surveillance, inspection, and control with applicable areas of project execution and delivery.
  • Utilize the knowledge management tools to assist Quality to capitalize from Lessons Learned and to perform in accordance with best practices, striving to mitigate risk, promoting repeatability, safety and integrity consistently.
  • Drive and provide quality awareness within projects and suppliers (Workshops, Talking Points, trainings, etc.).
  • Support and promote our commitments to Safety and the Importance of Quality in influencing success of our Safety commitments.
  • The Quality Advisor may be required to fulfill a Senior Quality Advisor role in small projects.
  • Develop and mentor resources to meet business needs.
