Overview
Energy Resourcing are recruiting for a Process Engineering Manager, for a permanent position with a large chemical client based in Wakefield.
The successful candidate will be responsible for improving and optimizing the chemical processes and performances of their plant at their Wakefield site.
Responsibilities
- Manage key Process Safety elements to ensure a safe facility.
- Coordinate the Process Engineering resources, including contractors, ensuring that UK standards and best practices are applied.
- Support the Site Project Manager and the Engineering Contractors assigned to the design and execution of small, medium, and large-scale engineering projects, taking ownership of all the process engineering aspects.
- Support the Operations and the Maintenance teams ensuring process engineering support when required.
- Support the SHE Department and the Site Director in liaising with the Local Authorities
Skills & Qualifications
- Chartered Chemical Engineer or recognized equivalent
- MSc, or equivalent professional qualification
- Familiarity with industrial engineering and ability to liaise with the Engineering Disciplines
- Highly experienced in chemical process engineering, capable to grow the next generation of SMEs and Process Engineers
- Has an excellent understanding of process equipment for chemical manufacturing sites
- Has a practical knowledge of modern DCS systems and their component, I/O panels, FAT and SAT
- Highly experienced in Process Safety Management (PSM) and in particular: MOC, Root Cause Investigations, Process Hazard Analysis
