Energy Resourcing have an urgent requirement for a Principal Process Engineer (with Synthetic Aviation Fuel 'SAF' experience) to join their client's Woking team on a 12-month contract basis.
- Manage process engineering services that meet our clients and their customer's applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Manage process engineering project requirements.
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and comply with required checking procedures.
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
- Provide advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. For example, oversee requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and purchase order preparation.
- Act as the process engineering Lead on specific projects.
- Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assigning tasks and supervising progress, and ensuring the required services meet our client and its customer's statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between our client and its Customer's requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in process engineering.
- If required, assist and support junior personnel within the process engineering team.
- Communicate effectively with the process engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
- Must have Synthetic Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant experience at either Study/ Concept or FEED or Detailed Design/ EPC phase and have awareness of Licensed technologies.
- Technology experience includes but is not limited to Hydroprocessing, pyrolysis, gasification, FT, HDS, HDN, HDO, etc.
- Will interface with the client's Energy Transition team and Studies, FEED, or EPC projects related to SAF.
- Either a Lead Engineer on a project or reporting to the Lead Engineer typically on larger projects, execute process engineering design for feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design, or EPC projects.
- Exposure to Consultancy, FEED/ Detailed Design, and EPC projects.
- Masters's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chartered Status preferred. Significant related experience working for Engineering/Client organisations in the Oil and Gas Industry and/ or Low Carbon Energy Transition projects.
