Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Principal Process Engineer to join their client's Aberdeen project team on a 12-month contract basis.
The successful candidate will be working on one of the largest oil and gas projects ensuring the appropriate process input is provided to other disciplines and that process design is maintained throughout the project cycle.
- Providing Technical Expertise in Process Engineering
- Capable of undertaking Process Designs and providing technical assistance to the team
- Leading and managing design teams
- Manhour estimation and input to the project schedule
- Plan process engineering activities and process resources to ensure the project schedule is met
- Accurately measure and report progress to project management
- Interface working with the other disciplines
- Maintain awareness of current relevant engineering technology & codes and standards
- Participate in Risk Review, SIMOPs, HAZIDs, HAZOPs etc as required
Essential:
- Chemical Engineering Degree
- Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer (preferred)
- Proven experience in a discipline leadership role working within a process project environment
- Experience in executing FEED and detailed design projects
- Excellent understanding of safety in design
- To be able to work to Company standard operating procedures but to be innovative when appropriate
Desirable:
- Ability to travel
- Experience in a Lead or Senior role
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to the client and its customers
- A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of process engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields
- A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements
- Competent use of process engineering-specific software
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
- Substantial technical land practical experience in process engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working on multi-disciplinary projects and teams
