Within the Civil Engineering group, provides project team leadership by directing project execution activities and discipline deliverables for projects. Performs administrative functions including implementation of management policies and procedures, implements the Company and Customers Procedures while seeking improvements to work processes and business approaches to better serve the project needs, supervision of moderate-sized teams. Develops innovative technical solutions to complex problems. Mentor subordinates.
The candidate will work within a team framework of other disciplines and will have an understanding of the broad organizational implications of the work being performed. Will be updating schedules and progress reports. May be asked to generate budgets for new work. Will be interfacing with Project Management and the Customers.
May be required to performed calculations for storm drain hydrology and hydraulics analysis, domestic water system analysis, and earthwork analysis, Slab, and pavement design. May have to provide field survey and construction support.
What You Will Bring
Experience and Qualifications
BS or MS in Civil Engineering. Thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted office procedures. Typically a minimum of 10 years of Civil Engineering experience in the Petroleum/Petrochemical Industry or other energy facilities. Relevant professional registration preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to maintain confidential information critically.
Special Job Requirements
Will be required to prepare and support the issuance of permits to local authorities in Bakersfield, California. Lead a small team of 2 or 3. Site Visits to Monrovia HO will be required.
