People Operations Advisor

Position: Contract to Permanent

Location: Houston, TX

Our client is looking for a People Operation advisor to work with an HR Business partner in their field service business line group. This individual will process hiring and termination paperwork, process leave of absences conduct exit interviews, assist with pay reviews and talent reviews, and assist with maintaining the HRIS system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes hire to retire retained work in the People processes such as mobilizations (i.e. conducting new hire orientation), change of employment conditions, and demobilizations etc.,
  • Manage Level 2- queries received from Support Center, coordinate the response, escalating with the People BPs or People Operations manager when applicable.
  • Provides tactical support to line managers by administering People policies and procedures. Capable of advising and guiding customers through common human resources issues.
  • Proactively review accurate data entry, letters, etc by Support Center.
  • May also support the coordination of other programs such as performance management procedures, recruitment and retention strategies as well as succession planning.
  • Manage Employee Cases in a timely manner
  • Manage accurately Hire-to-Retire processes
  • Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and support root cause analysis
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of People processes and SOPs
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Draft domestic project assignment letters
  • Process background and drug screen requests for internal employees mobilizing to other projects
  • Process Safety Council scheduling requests as required
  • Complete I9 requests
  • Assist with processing company convenience leave requests

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' experience in Human Resource or bachelor's degree.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
