Our client are a leading global EPC company with a portfolio of large, exciting and complex projects within the Oil and Gas and petrochemical industries. They seek to recruit on a permanent staff basis a Lead Structural Engineer who will work remotely with trips to a base office within the UK to connect with the project and personnel supporting a master services framework agreement with a global Oil and Gas Operator in provide engineering and construction services to support in the ongoing development and maintenance of the company assets within the UKCS.
The workload on the contract is defined by the client requirements with manning profiles constantly changing to meet the client's changing needs. Scopes from minor modifications through to bespoke project works on the installation topsides are covered under the contract requirements.
The structural scope for this project as a minimum shall include:
- Preparation, checking and approval structural project specification(s), requisition(s) and report(s) for packaged in line with contract structural requirements.* Procurement of structural fabrication and construction materials.* Management of the production of yearly asset weight reports * Supplier liaison and technical review of submitted drawings and documentation for compliance to project requirements.* Engineering and design assurance of structural scopes and interdisciplinary interfacing.* Delivery of the flowline scopes (among others) associated with the
Chrysaor contract.
Primary Duties Required:
Technical input to any change requests resulting from either internal or external scope growth beyond the original contract Target Cost estimates (TCE) requirements.Technical expertise associated with the design and implementation of structural design and engineering.Production, checking and approval of structural engineering and design deliverables required to execute this Scope of Work and in line with the Project Execution Plan (PEP) requirements.Production, checking and approval of Structural engineering and design deliverables to the EPC design documentation checking and approval standard.Site Surveys, to be carried out offshore on the UKCS assets.Attendance at project meetings, including any safety or engineering reviews (including, but not limited to HAZOP, HAZID, model reviews, constructability reviews, etc.)Attendance at client meetings.Engineering production, checking and approval of structural design drawings Calculations pertaining to structural design, to be performed in line with industry standard expectations and aligned to Client customer technical practice where applicable.Scheduling and completion of work to agreed contract milestones.Use and compliance with International & Client standards, in line with the individual Scopes of Requirements (SOR) defined by clients.Use of document management system.Conducting technical bid analysis of structural technical proposals.
Requirements:
- Civil or Structural Engineering Degree at bachelor's level (or equivalent)* Chartered Engineer (CEng) preferred* Demonstrable experience of execution of similar projects of scope and complexity.* Valid Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
