Role Objectives:The Lead Electrical Engineer is a member of our clients project engineering team and responsible for the delivery of assigned contract packages, safely, on-time and on-budget. The role is to provide engineering support to a sufficient level based on the approved contracting model for assigned contract packages and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the relevant package design scope of works including review and approval of discipline drawings and deliverable, compliance to all design basis, technical specifications, processes, and procedures.
Responsibilities:- Ensuring all engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatoryrequirements and company policies and practices.
- Provide inputs and direction to consultants and contractors and prioritise their work sothe work packages are completed on time and within budget.- Supervising preparation of preliminary and detailed designs ensuring project workcomplies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works.- Supervising preparation of documentation for standards, procedures, safe workingpractices and monitoring regimes for their discipline.- Participating in FAT, procurement inspections, and commissioning activities- Liaison with other discipline and project engineers to ensure project goals are met.- Providing input to the discipline engineering budget and addressing any variances frombudget.Health Safety and Environment:- Ensure the Client health and safety systems and procedures are implemented on the project site to enable the project to be safely delivered.- Ensure all work is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance withstatutory requirements and Company policies & procedures. Corporate:- Actively engage and collaborate with colleagues and support them in achieving theCompany's objectives.- Maintain high standards of reporting to on a routine basis and where otherwiserequested.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering- 7+ year's experience preferably in mineral processing and resource- Proven track record as lead/ senior design engineer
