Human Resources Generalist

(Manufacturing facility)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing full generalist support to 30+ employees, including but not limited to workforce planning, employment/staffing, on-boarding, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, performance management, and compliance
  • Manages safety onsite, including but not limited to compliance filing and reporting, injury oversight, and return to work programs. Maintains a positive relationship with the EHS department, legal entities, medical providers and insurance carriers
  • Supporting recruitment plans by developing job postings, reviewing resumes and interviewing qualified candidates
  • Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
  • Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters
  • Promotes a positive employee relations environment. Is accessible and promotes an open door policy
  • Effectively and diligently investigates employee concerns and/or complaints requiring a high level of confidentiality, objectivity, and an understanding of best practices for handling investigations. Follows through effectively with appropriate documentation, to ensure legal compliance and may participate in formal hearings and/or mediation meetings to resolve complaints.
  • Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records
  • Develops and supports performance improvement plans and career development
  • Supports the corporate benefit strategy and communicates benefit plans effectively to all employees
  • Supports all company policies/procedures as required, providing counseling and clarification or guidance when required
  • Actively participates in or contributes to HR initiatives (e.g., policy development, reward and recognition, wellness and employee morale programs)
  • Reports to Sr. Manager of Human Resources

Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related area or Certificate in Human Resources preferred

Experience: 5+ years’ experience as a HR generalist with an emphasis on Employee Relations in a production, manufacturing facility
