HSE Manager
Position: Permanent
Location: Mobile , Alabama
Our client is seeking a Safety professional to promote worksite safety by applying knowledge of industrial processes, mechanic, and industrial health and safety laws.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
- Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- Interview employers and employees to obtain information about work environments and workplace
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Regular and prompt attendance in person.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications

- Education Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred; experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- Licensure/ CSP, SMS, or comparable certification, preferred.
- Five years of related experience in fabrication or construction, highly preferred
- Special Extensive knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and policies. Knowledge/ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used for inspections.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
