We recruit technical specialists and managers for demanding national and international projects of our technologically leading customers.

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for an HSE Manager for a duration of +1 year.


The HSE Manager assumes the technical advisory HSE position within the project portfolio and is responsible for HSE system development and administration of the program with the intent to provide assistance in recognizing, evaluating, and subsequently eliminating or controlling HSE risk associated with the Project.

  • Engage, influence, and motivate project personnel, customer, and contractors as required to ensure alignment, commitment, and effective implementation of the HSE Management Plan.
  • Develop the HSE Plan in consultation with project stakeholders to demonstrate risk effectiveness, contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in project start-up work (Good to Go & Kickoff Process) and ensure EPC contractors are clear on HSE standards of work whilst ensuring responsibilities, objectives and targets are agreed and understood by all stakeholders.
  • Execution of technical safety, health, environmental, security, design, and constructability reviews in accordance with HSE regulations, and standards to verify that safety issues are fully addressed.
  • Facilitate implementation of HSE processes and tools to assess the risk and effectiveness of HSE systems in place; including regular Observations (SAZ), HSE talks, training sessions, promotion of safe work practices and ensuring interest & awareness of HSE is maintained at all levels.
  • Provide technical support to HSE Manager and Assurance Director as requested.
  • Coordinate and implement HSE initiatives and promotional activities targeted at continual improvement (Reward and Recognition Program).
  • Develop and continuously improve the strategic HSE action plans in alignment with corporate HSE management systems.
  • Direct a team of project HSE professionals.
  • Ensures the Project operates within Corporate, Customer and legislative HSE requirements and expectations
  • Act as a liaison and provide interpretation of appropriate legislation as it applies to the Project
  • Provide guidance on the company incident management protocol inclusive of root cause analysis and identification of preventative measures
  • Track and report HSE performance metrics inclusive of both leading / lagging indicators and analyze trends on the basis of continuous improvement
  • Take a leading role in the development and implementation of the Project HSE risk management processes


  • In-depth knowledge of HSE Management Systems
  • Understanding of construction safety during the design and execution phase.
  • Ability to influence customer strategy towards HSE to develop a fit-for-purpose system that can be applied in developing nations.
  • Minimum 7 years of construction safety experience.
  • Proven competency in the operation of key office software and productivity tools such as MS Office suite of tools
  • Interpersonal skills – establish direct working relationships and rapport with all levels within the organization,
  • Communication skills – demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to appropriately handle highly confidential information and situations
  • Ensure all safety legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted
  • Operates under minimal supervision
  • Outputs of the role are relied on by customers and by the business for ensuring compliance with the company’s health and safety program.
