Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for a HSE Lead to join their client's London project delivery team on a 12-month contract basis.

The successful candidate will join a large, exciting gas field project responsible for the development of the HSE element of the project HSSE Plan and associated documentation.

  • To provide HSE Leadership to the Project Management Team.
  • Be at the forefront to raise the profile of HSE across the Project and deliver the objectives of the Project.
  • Provide technical advisory and is responsible for the development of the HSE element of the project HSSE Plan and associated documentation.
  • Deliver the expected level of HSE with the project HSSE framework.
  • Embed the principles of 'Life' into the project delivery.
  • Ensure that HSE Risks are determined and reduced to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable.
  • Support the Project in delivering the expected level of HSE performance.
  • Delivering the project in line with the client's vision and values.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Client Representatives and Project Management to ensure client and business needs are understood and achieved
  • Embedding and deploying the aims of the client's project HSE Policy into the project, within the HSSE requirements specified in the contract.
  • Liaise with Risk Management to understand risks.
  • Develop the Project Execution Plan - HSE (To align with client HSSE Plan requirement) and associated documentation in consultation with project stakeholders and ensure that the documentation provides the minimum HSE standards that the Project must meet.
  • Develop, monitor, and deliver the HSE Assessment and Site Inspection Plan.
  • Review all project documentation (as per the document distribution matrix) to ensure adequate coverage of HSE considerations.
  • Liaise with Project R3 and ensure cross-functional engagement.
  • Develop and execute project HSE performance reporting (by project and the client's corporate requirements) and report HSE performance to the Project Management Team and the Ops HSE Manager
  • Participate in project start-up work (Good to Go & Kickoff Process) and ensure all sub-contractors are clear on the Client HSE section of the customer HSSE standards of work whilst ensuring responsibilities, objectives, and targets are agreed upon and understood by all stakeholders.
  • Embedding technical safety, health, environmental, security, design, and constructability reviews required by Client HSSE regulations, and standards into relevant project activity and verifying that safety issues are fully addressed.
  • Facilitate implementation of the HSE element of the Project HSSE processes, utilize HSE tools to assess risk and improve the effectiveness of the HSE element of the project HSSE systems in place; HSSE talks, training sessions, promotion of safe work practices and ensuring interest & awareness of HSE&S is maintained at all levels of the project organization.
  • Develop and implement HSE awareness campaigns including the client's values.

  • Technically Qualified Professional - in HSE.
  • Degree in relevant subject - HSE (or equivalent such as an appropriate NEBOSH qualification - Diploma).
  • Member of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (Desirable).
  • Major project experience.
  • Setting up and deploying HSE systems in major projects start up and execution.
  • Experience working on greenfield FEED projects.
  • Experience working with Middle East Clients - Experience with middle east HSE / Government legislative requirements.
  • Oil and Gas or other heavy industry-related experience.
  • Proven track record of implementation of HSE norms and principles at the management level.
  • Pipeline construction experience.
  • Significant FEED/document review experience.
  • Experience with the handover from FEED to EPC contractors.
