Global Talent Success Advisor – Total Rewards and Analytic

Position: Direct Hire

Location: Alberta, Canada

Our Canadian client is looking for an experienced Global Talent Success Advisor – Total Rewards and Analytics (GTSA-TRA) to support their strategic growth plans. They need someone who thrives when collaborating as part of a team to meet immediate needs while planning for the future, striving for continuous improvement, and taking stakeholder service seriously.

The GTSA-TRA is an essential member of their growing team. In this role, you will be working closely with all areas of their business. You will be responsible for helping to build, implement, and manage a total rewards program that is aligned with our client’s strategic objectives while facilitating their team’s success. Responsibilities:

  • Identify and execute on process improvements for compensation & benefits workflows
  • Create and manage Talent Success reporting metrics
  • Problem solve C&B and employment legislation issues
  • Implement and manage Shareworks for equity management
  • Assist with and provide coverage for compensation processes and queries, HRIS approvals, and research and creation of compensation packages for new hires/promotions
  • Alongside the Talent Success Advisor and EVP, HR/Global Talent, partner with Hiring Managers to research and develop competitive compensation packages aligned to our compensation philosophy
  • Research country compensation and benefits requirements and common practices for determining employment strategy (employee/contractor/business process outsourcing) and benefit offerings
  • Support the design, development, implementation, and administration of new compensation and benefit programs for new and current countries
  • Stay current on legal and regulatory trends and requirements in C&B globally, analyzing impact to our client and assist the team in proactively developing and implementing actions to mitigate the organization’s risk and ensure compliance
  • Aid in mandatory compensation and benefits reporting and related survey completion
  • Support the day-to-day operation of benefit programs working with external broker/providers, to ensure programs are administered efficiently and effectively and our client receives a high-quality experience with their plans
  • Work with vendors to set up and maintain up to date benefit information including contact details, processes for new employees, ensuring most updated versions are available
  • Coordinate and work closely with Finance on staffing plans, forecasts and other data needs or projects related to compensation, financial reporting, and audits
  • Participate in special compensation and benefits, as well as Talent Success, projects as requested by management
  • Manage and maintain job architecture and help to create new jobs, job families or categories in partnership with various stakeholders as needed
  • Lead the creation and research thorough analysis of compensation and benefits packages on a global scale, taking into consideration the overall business strategy and internal philosophies
  • Special projects as assigned

Must have:

  • 5+ years of hands on experience in compensation analysis; strong preference for:
    • international experience
    • start-up or hyper-growth organization
    • tech industry experience
    • experience working in a sales organization
    • experience administering Canadian & US payroll & benefits
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree considered an asset)
  • CPHR or SHRM Designation
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner or Certified Payroll Manager
  • Shareworks Certified (Master Certification Preferred)
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification, PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
  • Sound knowledge of the Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to compensation and benefits programs (Canadian and US: FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Must have extensive experience with compensation research and data analysis; experience with how they relate to compliance requirements in a publicly traded company
  • High-level proficiency with HRIS, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite; highly proficient with pivot tables, vlookups, complex formulas, and managing large data sets for analytics
  • Experience using the latest compensation analysis tools, i.e. Mercer (Comptryx)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Must be a proactive solution-oriented team player with a proven ability to collaborate with all levels of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working remotely a plus

Other must-have skills:

  • Experience with Bamboo HRIS System
  • Excellent Microsoft Skills (Advanced Excel is a must)
  • Experience with Rise Payroll in Canada and ADP in the US
  • Ability to present
