Financial Analyst

Position: Full Time, 3-6-month contract

Location: Remote

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist to develop and implement effective reporting and analysis to improve understanding of actual and forecast performance.
  • Analyses and interprets management reporting; comparing budget/forecast to actual, including KPI’s, key business drivers and trends, overheads, business development activities and market conditions.
  • Creates, develops, reviews, and improves complex cash flow forecast models to improve understanding of actual and future cash performance. Utilizing technology to assist and aid in review.
  • Interact with various stakeholders (Project Accounting, Treasury, Finance Directors, Project Management) to ensure a cash flow process fit for all purposes.
  • Assist Financial Planning & Analyst Director with rollout and implementation of consistent and unified reporting across the globe.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ significant financial experience, majority of this in role as Financial Analyst.
  • Communicates and operates effectively between Location, Region and Corporate demonstrating cross organizational collaboration in order to achieve the correct balance between differing reporting requirements.
  • Works effectively in a global, multi-cultural team in a remote/virtual environment.
  • Expert technical and analytical accounting skills, specifically in the areas of financial modelling and reporting.
  • Must have either public practice or publicly traded company experience – both would be preferable.
  • Exposure to Professional Services Business Model advantageous
  • Diploma in Accounting or 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business
  • Professional Accounting designation
  • Expert financial modelling skills, including building models from scratch and the ability to self-audit model integrity.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Familiar with large and complex ERP environments, specifically Oracle.
