Director of Engineering
Position: Permanent
Location: Birmingham, AL
Our client in the Birmingham, AL area is looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to join their team. The Director of Engineering will oversea and coordinate the daily operations of the company's highly skilled engineering staff, while ensuring that the company's objectives and goals are met.
Responsibilities:

- processes and products to meet customer and business objectives
- Participate as a member of the strategic leadership team
- Develop business plans, including creating and maintaining plans for new product development, product line extensions and product cost reduction to meet business goals
- Develop strategic engineering roadmap to maintain technical product leadership
- Provide leadership to logic, electrical design, mechanical and order engineering teams
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering required
- 10 years of experience in product development or manufacturing engineering: Design of electrical apparatus in a CTO/ETO environment would be helpful but not required
- Strong leader an team player with excellent Presentation and Communication Skills
- Knowledge of electrical apparatus is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and priorities is required
