Desktop Support Specialist

Location: Denver, CO

Term: 6M Contract

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a positive, organized and results oriented IT Desktop Support to join their Global IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your knowledge across a variety of IT projects whilst working in a successful, high performing atmosphere with a major O&G Engineering firm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT incidents

· Manage requests for IT related service calls

· Provide hands-on assistance to users / clients

· Experience in a technical customer service role (service desk or call center)

· Technical troubleshooting of a wide range of Windows desktop and infrastructure systems

· Knowledgeable with a Helpdesk ticket tracking system such as Service Now

· Strong customer service orientation and attitude

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

· Strong oral and written English skills

· Flexible, positive, organized, results oriented, able to adapt easily and creatively to new environments

· A quick learner and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently

· Strong interpersonal communication skills with respect to customers, colleagues, and other professionals

· Willingness to learn new things and the ability to pick up new skills quickly

Experience and Qualifications:

· Industry-specific certification in relevant computer languages or software may be required

· 8+ years of proven experience in a heavy customer focus position involving and technical knowledge of a companies’ products and services

· Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution

· Comfortable working in and assisting others through company help desk software.

· Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently

· Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients

· Experience installing and configuring computer systems and applications for a large company
