Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Civil & Structural Engineer, for a 1 year contract position based in Aberdeen, with a highly reputable client within the Oil & Energy sector.

  • Execute technical work in one or more teams and input to multiple project activities.
  • Ensure the quality of the technical work, integrity and functionality delivers safe competitive solutions, for the project.
  • Define or develop consistent and applicable standards for use on the project.
  • Deliver the projects requirements in accordance with HSSE Control Framework
  • Champion Requirements Engineering and support the implementation of a requirements management system relevant for each phase of the project.
  • Support and provide input to the Project Cost and Schedule Management Plan.
  • Own and manage key project risks with applicable gap closure plans.
  • Support the project technology identification, development and assurance.
  • Develop a network across CCS projects, providing support to external project requests for information for cross learning purposes.
  • Participate in Integrated technical reviews and other project assurance events. Special Challenges.
  • Core discipline mastery is required and is expected to be in line discipline skill matrix and capable of progressing to the required technical authority level.
  • Core discipline mastery is required and is expected to have experience with an ability and capability to progress to TA2.
  • Is expected to have a sound background in engineering, as well as knowledge and experience of facilities, process, equipment design and operation.
  • Project management skills and experience of project phasing and deliverables, including experience in pre-DG3 activities.
  • Experience in establishing, managing, and delivering civil & structural engineering activities for at least one sizable project >$100 million.
  • Requirements Engineering awareness and ability to deliver in this environment.
  • Experience in both the front-end and execution phases of an opportunity/project
  • Experience in supporting a portfolio of projects, working with external stakeholders and coordinating/facilitating civil & structural engineering activities will be an advantage.
  • Ability to working across a broad range of different disciplines and functional groups.
  • Knowledge of CCS projects and requirements will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of onshore / offshore production operations, upstream projects and maintenance and engineering is a requirement.
  • A self-managed approach with an emphasis on being pro-active is key.
