Business Development Manager

Energy Resourcing Americas, Inc. is growing, and we are excited to announce we are seeking candidates to join our team as the head of Business Development in the U.S. region. We are seeking a strategic thinker with a passion for Sales and Business Development to help expand our footprint and help continue our rapid growth in the United States region. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for full Business Development and Sales to both new and existing clients in contract staffing and permanent placement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take a deliberate, and focused approach to develop and manage a core client portfolio with demonstrable future value to the business.
  • Manage a weekly and monthly plan which identifies sources of revenue to deliver on personal targets and objectives in line with agreed financial year budgets, capitalizing on market opportunities which present themselves.
  • Ensure quality information is fed into the forecasting process on secured and potential work to support the financial reporting schedule.
  • Ensure all business development activity is tracked in the relevant sales system.
  • Proactively and consistently strive to identify and obtain new business opportunities – Identify, acquire and deliver.
  • Manage and develop client relationships including negotiating terms and conditions, bids, and proposal work.
  • Ensure that cash flow is managed positively and in line with contractual arrangements and issues are promptly escalated.
  • Implement and monitor any KPI/SLAs in place at an account level to ensure that clients expectations are being met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all necessary aftercare services are concluded, capturing feedback to support the continued development of the businesses service offering
  • Mentor other members of the team to enhance the businesses overall capabilities.
  • Strong team ethic, with a commitment to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Define with the Regional business leaders the business development strategy for the U.S. market ensuring that it focuses on the agreed sectors ultimately maximizing on the available growth opportunities in the market.
  • Drive the implementation of the business development strategy through the regional Account Leads to ensure a consistent U.S. wide approach.
  • Develop and maintain key account customers within their region, in alignment with the business strategy to maximize the conversion of opportunities.
  • Manage the targeted development of strategic customers with clear business alignment.
  • Identify emerging customers in the market whose business need matches the businesses strategic direction and capabilities.
  • Promote a positive safety culture within the business and with our Contractors and clients.
  • Drive business growth through new sales revenues by developing relationships with new and existing clients
  • Create new business opportunities via research, lead generation, prospecting, networking, phone and in-person appointments.
  • Ability and desire to exceed minimum weekly activity, revenue targets, and goals.
  • Work closely with Recruiting team to facilitate a successful delivery model for our customers.


  • Recruitment/Project Staffing Business Development and Sales experience
  • Industry experience in Engineering, Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy
  • Experience with constructing bids and RFP’s
  • Strong preference for sales experience in the Texas and Gulf Coast regions
  • Tech savvy with CRM’s and various business development tools
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
