Contract to Hire

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Energy Resourcing is looking for a Architect for our office in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate will provide architectural engineering services, including technical support and supervision within the architectural engineering team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform Architectural design and layout of commercial and industrial buildings, layout of floor plans for office buildings, control rooms, and laboratories.
• Perform Architectural design and delivery services from front-end through to detailed design of greenfield and brownfield sites.
• Coordinate with engineering team and gather technical information required for design from other disciplines.
• Prepare/review Design criteria, specifications, and reports
• Utilize 3D models to support design work. Knowledge o E3D is a plus
• Check architectural drawings
• Prepare architectural material take-offs (MTOs), and scope of work documents.
• Prepare and maintain project schedule.
• Prepare project work hour estimates and budgets, and make sure work is performed within budget.
• Keep track of document changes and prepare key design changes.
• Plan the work and assign work to team members in California and assign work to team in India.
• Supervise, guide and mentor junior and intermediate designers and/or architects
• Visit job site, perform job walk and take necessary measurements

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Architecture, Licensed architect, and NCARB Certification a plus.
• 8 years of experience in architectural engineering, 4 years in Industrial buildings and Chemical Plants.

• Experience in architectural design of industrial, Laboratories, Control rooms, and Office buildings. Life safety/occupancy review, building code analysis, and code requirements.
• Strong knowledge of IBC and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications
• Must bring strong and effective leadership skills to this role
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.
