What do you do at Energy Resourcing?
I am an Operational System Support Lead for the Energy Resourcing global business, delivering an efficient and reliable service to support business requirements.
How did you get into your current career?
I worked with Worley for almost five years, during which I was part of the UNCE talent acquisition team. I specialised in supporting O&M and construction disciplines for onshore and offshore projects. Alongside my role, I was also given the opportunity to support and develop our ATS system, iCIMs, which became a passion project. A role then opened with Energy Resourcing that would allow me to expand my knowledge!
Are you working on any specific projects at the moment?
I’m working closely with each region to ensure we are using the ATS system effectively and providing training where required. We have been identifying areas where we can develop the system to make the all-round experience more efficient.
What’s the best part of your role?
Every day is different, and I get to speak to people all over the world. I get to help resolve issues and share my knowledge of the system’s best practise.
What is the most challenging part of your role?
Making sure that system changes are the right changes – some are done at a global level, and they must be right for all our regions.
Any words of advice to young graduates?
Be yourself and ask the questions that are on your mind. Opportunities will come along, and they might be out of your comfort zone, but you should see this as exciting and a chance to improve your skill set. Mentors are a great help to bounce ideas off. Someone with different attributes to you will support you in seeing things from another perspective.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our two dogs, going on walks or days out when the weather allows. I also enjoy hosting social gatherings with our friends. We enjoy travelling, both on long weekend city breaks as well as some time in the sun.
What was the last book you read?
I’m not a big book reader, I much prefer film and TV!

Music you listened to?
I enjoy a good mix of different music, depending on my mood. My most listened-to is throwbacks; 90s/00s or house music.
