What do you do at Energy Resourcing?
In July of 2022, I joined the ERG team as their Business Development representative. I am expected to bring new clients to the Airswift/Energy Resourcing team, ensuring that the client relationship is cohesive with our business model and the talent we can provide their team. My week involves meetings, prospecting, following leads and being visible in the community. I am very proud to work with a team that provides talented candidates to the workforce as they follow their career goals and dreams.
How did you get into your current career?
In 2009, my family relocated to North Georgia, and I needed to find a job. A colleague suggested that I reach out to a head-hunter, and she would help me with my search. The recruiter encouraged me to speak with the owner of the firm and the rest is history!
Are you working on any specific projects at the moment?
Yes, right now I am working on two major RFPs (request for proposals) with large chemical facilities.
What’s the best part of your role?
Nurturing and retaining clients. It is a true joy to have a solid partnership where you are a reliable source for their hiring needs.
What is the most challenging part of your role?
When prospects or clients don’t understand nor care about the market challenges. Whether that be location of the role, salary requirements or lengthy interview processes. It takes a unique discussion regarding compromise to help encourage an open mindset.
Any words of advice to young graduates?
Yes! Spend your last year doing an internship. It will pay dividends. Some students fear that it will delay their graduation date, but it is so worth it. You will be able to experience the workforce early and gain insight into the career path ahead!
What do you like to do outside of work?
My passion is my family. We are definitely an ‘on-the-go’ family. I am a certified Orange Theory coach and enjoy working out. My son plays competitive tournament golf, and my daughter is in her fourth year playing soccer. We support our church, schools and community as much as we can. I am exceptionally excited to mention that the business is supporting Robertsdale High School’s STEM Program this school year. I can’t wait to see these students learn and grow!

‘Love and Respect’ by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs.
Film you watched?
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3,’ it’s amazing.
Music you listened to?
It depends. During a good workout, Hip hop is almost a necessity for high impact! My favourite band of all time is Better Than Ezra.
