My family

My role at Energy Resourcing is Business Improvement Coordinator, but I also support the accounting department in Australia. My day-to-day consists of working with the finance team, assisting with daily accounts payable / accounts receivable processing, as well as month end closing.

As Business Improvement Coordinator, I work closely with the management team to audit and review business processes.

Are you working on any specific projects at the moment?

I’m currently reviewing our internal processes for our Australian branch and looking for ways to streamline/automate where possible. I’m also working with the Business Improvement Manager / Global Business Systems & Processes Manager on the Global Onboarding Checklist to streamline the staff onboarding process.

How did you get into your current career?

I was previously working in Contract Administration roles before joining Energy Resourcing. I started off working as part of the CMS team in Australia. From there, I moved into an Accounts and Services Coordinator role before taking up the role of Business Improvement Coordinator.

What’s the best part of your job?

The opportunity to learn and collaborate with all the different functions. As well as the variety in day-to-day tasks.

Any words of wisdom you live by?

Always be willing to learn and adapt

What keeps you at Energy Resourcing?

The people. Have an amazing bunch of colleagues who always thrive to achieve the best.

What do you like to do outside of work?

With a 3-year-old it’s sometimes hard find time to do anything else but when I do have some spare time, I like to do some gardening, cooking, and baking. It seems I have passed these interests on to my son as he loves doing these with me.

I also love to travel! In fact, I’ve recently returned from a trip to Christmas Island visiting family.

If you hadn’t got into your current career… what would you have become?

I was previously working at a Cinema Film Distribution Company in Singapore. If I hadn’t decided to return to Australia, I would most likely have stayed in this industry as an events planner.

Her role does vital work to help support Energy Resourcing automate and improve our existing business systems in Australia.
