What do you do at Energy Resourcing?
I am a Senior Recruiter in the Global Recruitment and Contracting Solutions for clients within the Renewable Energy, Mining, Petrochemical and Oil & Gas sectors, with a particular focus on Electrical and Civil Engineering.
Are you working on any specific projects at the moment?
We are currently working on a global recruitment project for a multinational EPCM client for a large Petrochemical project in Italy.
How did you get into your current career?
I originally began my career as a specialist Finance Recruiter, having previously worked within the finance industry in Australia for 7 years prior to working in recruitment.
What’s the best part of your job?
Getting to work with a fantastic collaborative group of people at Energy Resourcing in our Australian office, who I’ve had the pleasure of working with for the past 8 years! For me this is not just a company where I work, its more a family I’m a part of.
What challenges have you had to overcome to get to where you are today?
It’s a tough role being a recruiter, there’s constant setbacks, roadblocks, rejections etc. But having a great supportive team around me has really helped to build and strengthen my resilience and resolve in order to stand the test of time.
Any words of wisdom you live by?
Never give up, believe in yourself, and always be open and honest with your peers, your clients and your candidates.
What keeps you at Energy Resourcing?
The wonderful people I work with, its like my home away from home.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Three passions: Family, Craft Beer and Sport (most ball sports especially Tennis and Football).
If you hadn’t got into your current career… what would you have become?
A Sports Agent hopefully! I’m a massive sports fan.
What was the last book you read?
The last book I read to my 6 year old, Dinosaurs Love Underpants.
