2020 has been a year like no other, and with UK charities facing a £10 billion funding gap, we felt it was only right to show some appreciation. The work that our local charities do is essential to keep our communities thriving. Therefore, instead of purchasing our annual calendars, we decided to donate to three amazing charities; Charlie House, Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust and Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice is the 2020 strategic charity for Primat. They are a registered charity in Middlesbrough providing palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. They specialise in respite care, one on one therapy, while also supply family and bereavement support.
Charlies House is the strategic charity for our parent company, Worley, and their Aberdeen office. This fantastic charity was established to help make life better for babies, children and young people who have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, and to support their parents, brothers and sisters, and all those who love them.
Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust (AFCCT) is a local charity to the Aberdeen area who has provided an immense amount of support throughout Covid-19. AFCCT works to provide support and opportunity to change lives for the better in the community. Their work supports people across all age groups and backgrounds across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, enabling healthy communities; football for life activities and innovative education programmes to harness the potential for all. More specifically, throughout 2020, AFCCT has supported over 12,000 people through a food drop, made over 15,000 calls to those who are isolating, and ensured 7,000 children have access to meals.
All of these organisations have done a fantastic job of helping those in need – they really are the heroes of 2020!
Happy holidays
To all our clients and contractors, happy holidays from the entire Primat team.
