Energy Resourcing further commits to Europe, establishing new operations in The Netherlands and expanding efforts in Germany.

Energy Resourcing has expanded its rapidly growing business by establishing Energy Resourcing Netherlands B.V. and Energy Resourcing Germany GmbH. This move comes as a further commitment to our growth strategy and supports Energy Resourcing’s expanding portfolio of work for continental Europe.

Strengthening our commitment to Europe

Behind this exciting announcement are Energy Resourcing’s Sean MacGloin, Director – Europe & Global Growth; and Hanno Gahmann, General Manager – Germany & The Netherlands. Both, responsible for a strategy that will see the Netherlands develop as the regional support hub for business undertaken in Europe. This shift provides us with significant further opportunities to leverage our ability to support clients in the vast German market.

Hanno Gahmann, General Manager – Germany & The Netherlands, states, “I’m excited and highly motivated to have the opportunity to support this further expansion into Europe. We have a real passion for working in the energy industry during this exciting, pivotal time and ensuring that our employees have a rewarding experience engaging with us to deliver these projects. Some of which will be world-class. We are confident of a very successful future.”

Supporting the energy transition

The Netherlands offers great potential for expansion. With a robust business environment, good transport links and firm commitments to a net-zero future, we view this as an ideal location to help grow our European presence. In addition, the Netherlands is ranked 9th on the EY Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index (RECAI).

Significant investment is planned for the Netherlands, as energy producers align with those countries that intend to meet their zero-carbon (CO2) commitments by 2050. At the same time, a report commissioned by Eon has indicated that Germany will need to invest €32bn by 2030 and €110bn in total to achieve its clean energy ambitions.

Energy producers must also maintain investment in the current energy supply system to retain production during the transition period. However, this puts tremendous pressure on the demand for experienced project management, engineering, technical and support staff. All to ensure our clients meet their projects’ cost, schedule, and HSE targets.

Speaking of the challenges ahead, Sean MacGloin said, “We are pleased to be able to look to the future and help our clients with their efforts to address climate change. All while maintaining the security of energy supply through the transition.”

New business opportunities

As our clients signal significant commitments to energy transition projects, Energy Resourcing is well-positioned to provide the personnel required to support these developments. Our teams have the experience and expertise to supply the high calibre staff and freelancers needed during the project stage gate-cycle for the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors.

We are seeing significant demand in our business as several large clean energy hydrogen, waste to energy, direct air capture, carbon capture & storage, and offshore wind projects move forward — from concept, through front-end design, towards execution.

There is also increased activity in the hydrocarbons and chemicals industries as the global economy regains momentum following the pandemic. In addition, many companies view gas as essential to the energy mix as the world transitions to cleaner alternatives.

With our further expansion into Europe and an industry-wide shift into the energy transition, it is an exciting time at Energy Resourcing. As a global brand, we have a wealth of experience supplying staffing solutions to help our clients meet their resourcing demands. Additionally, as a recruiter, we promote individual learning and personal career development for our candidates through the unique combination of customer environment, training, and project responsibility.
